Description

each with flared sides rising to an upturned rim, the interior freely carved with a single lotus spray on an undulating stem with a large curled leaf against a ground of scrolling foliage, with incised details, covered overall in an olive-green glaze draining to a lighter tone at the rim and pooling to a deeper shade in the recesses (2)

Condition
Both dishes diplay evidence of overfiring, especially around the foot and rim. One of the dishes has minor burst air bubbles around the rim edge. The other has a hairline crack extending from the rim into the dish as well as a blister on the rim. Both dishes have minor surface abrasion and crackle in the glaze.
