Description
- porcelain
finely potted, the ovoid body rising from a narrow tapered foot to a small cylindrical neck with lipped rim, the body freely carved with an intricate undulating peony scroll, issuing curling leaves and blossoms in fine detail, applied overall with a translucent glaze of warm ivory tone pooling to a slight bluish tone in the recessed areas of the design and neatly ending at the unglazed foot
Condition
There is a chip and a firing crack to the foot ring which is slightly uneven. There is also the expected wear with resultant irridesence and slight staining to the glaze, otherwise the vase is in good condition.
