the central medallion carved with a writhing four-clawed dragon, flanked by lingzhi, striding over rocks and waves and below a stylized shou character, all against an ochre-yellow ground, and encircled by a band of scrolling lingzhi, the exterior border of alternating camellia, peony, hibiscus and chrysanthemum blooms above a key-fret band around the foot ring, incised six-character mark in a vertical line

The rim has two chips, the foot ring with old restoration and several chips. The dragon is missing six talons and the surface has the usual age-cracks.
