the hard mat seat enclosed in the square mitered frame supported at the corners by legs of square section joined by arched stretchers, terminating in hoof feet

Provenance

Collection of LaRue Robbins Lutkins (1919-2011). 

Condition

The original soft matted seat replaced with hard matting. The seat frame missing a section of one tenon. There is a break with a small missing piece where the frame meets the leg.Two of the stretchers spliced indicating changes to the original form. One leg with a cut out knot and a repair and another with a large rectangular patched repair with a small peice missing. The other two legs with minor repairs and all joins consolidated.
