Description

  • huanghuali wood
with typical mitered, mortice and tenon frame and hard mat seat,  above a straight waist and simple beaded apron formed from a single piece of wood, supported on straight beaded legs of square section, terminating in hoof feet, joined by arched stretchers

Provenance

Collection of LaRue Robbins Lutkins (1919-2011). 

Condition

The soft matted seat replaced with hard matting, the frame with a small piece missing from one of the tenons. All four legs with repairs; one with a long split and another with a missing plug, another with a long rectangular repair. The joins all consolidated with glue.
