the well-figured single plank within a mitered frame with molded edge, the legs of slender circular section, slightly splayed and joined by a plain, straight apron with rectangular-shaped spandrels and with double braces of oval section, the underside of the top with three transverse braces

Collection of LaRue Robbins Lutkins (1919-2011).
Condition
All the joins have been consolidated with glue and some fill. There are long repaired splits to two of the legs and two of the stretchers. The surface with expected wear and with some water damage.

This simple, refined form is one of the classic forms found in furniture of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
