the deep body raised on three tall splayed knife-shaped legs, cast around the sides with stylized taotie masks with prominent eyes on a fine leiwen ground, the spout flanked by a pair of capped finials, the side set with a loop handle covering a pictogram, the pale green patina with areas of malachite encrustation

Condition
Under optical, ultraviolet (UV) light and x ray examination the spout has been broken out of the neck where it joins the body and one finial adjoining the spout has broken off and reattached. One leg broken off and reattached. Typical chips to rim and legs. The wine vessel is less blue in color compared to the catalogue illustration.
