Condition

There is dirt and wear to the salvers consistent with age and handling, including particular wear to some of the cast inscriptions. There are a number of stable fissures, including some larger fissures on the right side of the first salver. There appear to be restorations to the reverse of the first salver, particularly at the centre and where the outer frieze / lip of the dish meets with the bowl. The outer lips of both salvers are bent in places. There appears to have been some corrosion to the surface of the second salver, particularly to the central section. There are a few small lacunae and there may be some restoration to above the inner frieze. The medallion to the reverse and the inscription with initals are probably later. There may also be some restorations to the reverse. Otherwise the condition of both salvers is good.
