Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions. There is some minor veining consistent with the material. There is a very small abrasion/ open vein to the sleeve. The frame is composed of two segments and joints are visible centre top and bottom. There is wear to the gilding and there are a few small losses, including to the bottom right scroll and some of the leaves at the top. The right side of the bow at the top is restored and there is a small loss to the top. There is a small stable crack to the bottom of the bow.
