There is dirt and wear to the surface of the marble consistent with age and some weathering. The head is reattached. There are further restorations to the chin, proper left cheekbone, to the big toe and the tip of the second toe on the proper right foot, to the front left corner of the ground, and to part of the proper left hand. There may be further restorations to the hands and the panpipes. There is veining consistent with the material including to the boy's back where there are two slightly open veins. There is weathering to the column throughout and some chips to the corners.
