Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble throughout consistent with the material. There is a loss of the tip of the cloak in Hercules's proper left hand. There may be restorations to the monster's tale and there is a chip to the base of the tale to the underside. The bull's proper right horn is restored. There are further restorations to the woman's feet, ankles and proper left leg, and to the bull's tale. The tips of the bull's hooves and part of his proper right back leg also appear to be restored. There are a few chips and abrasions including to the woman's cloak.
