with an old paper collection label inscribed in blue ink: 249.

Condition

The stone has been kept outside as a piece of architectural statuary and there is dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is weatehring to the surface throughout. There are a few losses including to the two furthest right points of the star and to a few parts of the drapery. There are two holes in the top point of the star and another running through the upper left point of the star. There is an iron hook in the back of the figure and abrasions to the back. There may be a losses to the lower right part of the putto behind the star.
