  • Pax with the Crucifixion
  • oil on paper mounted behind glass on partially gilt painted enamel on copper

Condition

Overall the condition of the pax is good. There is wear and some minor dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There is wear to the gilding throughout and there is some craquelure to the enamel at the front. There are areas of restoration to the base and edges of the reverse. The edges of the handle have minor losses to the enamel. There is discolouration and overall wear to the surface of the painting and there are losses and rips to the edges of the paper.
