Condition
There is wear and dirt to the surface throughout consistent with age. There are a number of losses, including both hands and the front of the attribute the Saint holds. The feet, sections of the ground and sections of the right side of the throne are lost due to past worming (there is evidence of past worming throughout). A small section of the proper right arm may be reattached; the wood where the hands have been lost is flaking. There are a number of smaller losses and chips, including to the edges of the hat and to the bottom lip. There are losses to the polychromy throughout. The polychromy may have been refreshed. There is stable splitting to the wood consistent with the material, in particular to the Saint's back. There may be a few restorations to the back of the sculpture and there is a knot in the wood to the back at the bottom.
