Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor fissures to the base at the back. There are rectangular plugs to the underside of each horse (at the belly). There are two lacunae to the inside of the male horse's proper left back leg. There are a few spots of greening, including to the crevices. There are slightly visible original casting joints at the top of the tails. The horses are cast separately to the base.
