Bust of John F. Kennedy

Plaster cast with copper green patina, height 10 in.; 254 mm, affixed to a 5 x 5 x 2 in.; 127 x 127 x 51 mm  wooden plinth, reproduced by Alva Museum Replicas, Inc.; several nicks to the hair, upper lip and chin. Together with: retained typed carbon letter by McNamara's secretary, Margaret S. Stroud, one page (10 1/2 x 8 in.; 265 x 200 mm),  [Washington], 9 June 1965, to David Dubinsky, President of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, thanking him on behalf of the McNamaras for the Berks bust of JFK. And with: A  card, Miami, May 1965, ILGWU's 65th Anniversary Convention presenting Berks's bust of JFK and commemorating JFK's relationship with the union.

Plaster cast with green bronze patina, height 10 inches, affixed to a 5 x 5 x 2 in. wooden plinth; several nicks to the hair, upper lip and chin.

Robert Berks (1922-2011) was an American sculptor who created hundreds of monuments including a large-scale bust of President Kennedy at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial at the Department of Justice, and the Albert Einstein Memorial at the National Academy of Sciences.
