Catalogue Note

Two books linking Mrs. Kennedy's love and appreciation of art with that of the McNamaras. The Giacometti monograph is inscribed: "For Margie and Bob | with love | Jackie | Christmas 1966. The McNamaras owned a bronze sculpture by Giacometti entitled "Buste de Diego" which was sold in Sotheby's New York Impressionist and Modern Art Sale, 2 May 2012 (lot 19) for $1,762,500. Toros et Toreros bears Mrs. Kennedy's bookplate on the flyleaf.
