A group of 3 khaki cotton twill short-sleeve shirts and 2 lightweight brushed khaki cotton twill long-sleeve shirts worn by McNamara on visits to Vietnam ca. 1962-1964. The button-front shirts with epaulets, pleated breast pockets button-down flaps, most bearing laundry markings "RCM R" and/or "18-947," one long-sleeve shirt labeled "Regulation Officer's Shirt"; the long-sleeve shirts worn, with fraying at the collar, tears along pockets, one mend along a cuff, a few stains, some soiling to the labelled shirt. Together with: 7 black-and-white photographs by Life photographer Larry Burrows of McNamara during a visit to Vietnam, all but one stamped on the verso and dated 10 March 1964.
