folding paper fan with a hand-coloured etched allegorical scene by Robert Strange depicting Bonnie Prince Charlie in armour, attended by Cameron of Lochiel as Mars and Flora Macdonald as Bellona (Fame holds a laurel wreath above him, Venus and Cupid are to the left, as is Britannia. To the right Jupiter strikes down Envy and Discord and the family of Hanover is seen retreating), mounted on ivory sticks, 28.5cm. (11.5in.)
