Catalogue Note
The children's author and artist Maggie Kneen has illustrated work by E.B. White, Bobby Burke and Billy Collins. Her illustrations for Dick King-Smith's Babe were published by Alfred A. Knopf as a newly illustrated, twentieth anniversary edition in 2005. The set of original illustrations, offered here, is complete with a number of additional images not used in the published volume. The illustrations range from vignettes to large images published as double-page spreads. Maggie Kneen's work has sold in these rooms in 2008 and 2011.
