Catalogue Note
The cover design for the second Harry Potter book was created from two separate pieces of artwork. One piece comprised an illustration showing a landscape with most of the flying Ford Anglia. A second piece, offered here, comprises an illustration of the entire Ford Anglia (without landscape). This second piece is annotated by the artist 'for: Harry Potter – shop display'. It appears that the publishers took the landscape from the first piece and superimposed the car from the second to produce the finished design.
