Catalogue Note

Joanne and Michael Cole published the first Bod books in 1966: Bod's Apple, Bod's Present, Bod's Dream and Bod and the Cherry Tree. In 1974 thirteen short amimated films were made, narrated by John Le Mesurier and Maggie Henderson with music by Derek Griffiths. Between 1975 and 1980 these were featured by the BBC during the 'Watch with Mother' slot. Following widespread popularity, additional books were published.
