Famous actors include Charles Kemble (in She Wou'd & She Wou'd Not in 1801, The Mountaineers in 1801 and The Jealous Wife in 1802) and Edmund Kean (in Iron Chest in 1817). The large and varied repertoire of the theatre is reflected in these playbills, including Twelfth Night (1801), a Coronation spectacle (1821), The Marriage of Figaro (1823), The Merry Wives of Windsor (1824), Der Freischutz (1825), Acis and Galatea (1827), The Taming of the Shrew (1828), Macbeth (1828), Julius Caesar (1829), Othello (1829), The Merchant of Venice (1834), The Winter's Tale (1834), Henry IV (1834), Richard II (1834), together with many benefit performance notices

The collection includes a double-page playbill noting a performance of Don Juan 'tomorrow evening, February 5, 1833'. This first performance of Don Giovanni in an English translation by S. Beazley is recorded in Loewenberg's Annals of Opera 1597-1940 (London, 1978).
