Description

the lustrous stone of a chalky white tone slightly tinged to pale celadon with natural veins and inclusions, the thin sides gently rising from a low flared foot to an everted mouthrim, the exterior decorated in low relief with a band of three lotus flowers enclosed within a quatrefoil border, all between two borders of foliage, the slightly countersunk base incised with a four-character reign mark

Provenance

Acquired in Paris between the 1970s and the early 90s.

Condition

There are a three hairline cracks from the mouth, with the longest C-shaped one of about 4 cm and the other two measuring 0.8 and 0.5 cm; all stabilised by glue. The overall condition is otherwise quite good.
