Description
the bearded hero seated upon a horse turned sharply to the left, with his left hand placed on his chest with a look of surprised delight as his attendant standing on the ground presents him a rod, his sword suspended from his waist, the wood well patinated to a warm auburn-brown colour with characteristic darker speckling
Provenance
Acquired in Paris between the 1970s and the early 90s.
Condition
The rear right leg of the horse is restored. There is an age crack behind the head. There is some surface wear consistent with age, but otherwise the piece is in good condition.
