finely carved with a boy riding a striding water buffalo in a landscape laden with craggy rocks and a gnarled pine tree, wearing a loose robe and a straw hat on his back, walking past a boy with a playful expression seated on the ground, the cream-coloured surface with natural age cracks and an attractive patina

Provenance

Acquired in Paris between the 1970s and the early 90s.

Condition

There are natural age cracks as visible on the photo, a couple of minute chips to the tip-end of the boy riding the buffalo right hand's fingers. A small section of clusters of pine needle is chipped and missing and there is small chip the one other cluster.
