Description
the slightly domed cover carved in relief with five lychee fruits detailed with various diaper patterns, borne on a leafy branch, all against a meticulously carved diaper background, the box with a slightly recessed underside, similarly carved to the exterior with a leafy branch bearing further five lychee on a diaper ground, the interior of both the box and cover lacquered black
Provenance
Acquired in Paris between the 1970s and the early 90s.
Condition
There are traces of re-lacquering to the outer rim of the box. Except for some very minor chips and age crackles, the overall condition is very good.
