Description

the smooth stone of a cyan tone with a characteristic dense network of natural black veins and dark patches, pierced with numerous apertures

Provenance

Acquired in Paris between the 1970s and the early 90s.

Condition

One side of the stone has a crack stabilised with glue. There are a couple of faint surface cracks (a 2.5 cm star crack to the top and a 1.3 cm vertical crack below). Apart from some old stains to the base probably due to prolonged attachment to a stand, the overall condition is quite good.
