Usual dents and scratches. Legible marks under bases with assay scrapes. Later Dutch control mark on footrims.

Catalogue Note

Johann Adolph Borns was born on 11 October 1689. It is not known when he became a master goldsmith, but his earliest work dates from 1728-1730. He married Anna Magdalena, the daughter of goldsmith Johann Ernst Gottlob, on 27 April 1730, and died on 16 October 1760.
