Catalogue Note

The arms are those of Bentheim-Tecklenburg-Rheda, probably for Maurice Casimir I (1710 - 1768). The small estate emerged as a partition of Bentheim-Steinfurt in 1606, and was mediatised to Prussia in 1806. The family was elevated to  princely status  in 1817.
