Condition

In overall good condition. Nice colour. Usual minor scratches. Legible marks on outside border near one handle. Unusual subject.

Catalogue Note

Balthasar Haydt was born in Seefeld. In 1645 he became a master goldsmith in Augsburg and Warden of the Mint, and married in the same year.  He was Geschaumeister between 1651 and 1654 and a member of the High Council. He died in 1680.
