comprising: a silver-gilt school medal, probably Sopron (Odenburg), dated 1642, square, struck on one side with a view of the city of Sopron above the arms of the city flanked by the arms of Hungary and Habsburg, applied with three pendant acorns, complete with three chains and pendant ring, 8.7cm, 3 1/2 in overall height; the medal 3.2cm, 1 1/4 in square ; a silver medal centred by the Baptism of the Christ within a filigree silver frame, Joszef Prandtner, Pest, 1818, 9.2cm, 3 1/2 in wide ; a silver thaler, Kronstradt, 1660, 4.3cm, 1 5/8 in diameter turned wood case; a silver perpetual calendar, signed Farbinger, for János Farbinger of Wesprim, early 19th century, 4.3cm, 1 5/8 in diameter

Catalogue Note
The silver thaler is inscribed "de profundis ad te clamamus, Domine, serva nos, quia perimus" dated 1660, on the reverse, the arms of the prince of Transylvania, Archatius Barcsai and inscribed "ACHAT · BAR · D · G · PRI · TR · P · R · H · ET · SIC". The supplicating verse alludes to the horrible year in which Transylvania was invaded by the the Ottoman turks. Barcsai ruled in Transylvania until 1660 and minted only coins of high nominal value now rare
