Condition

In overall good condition. Scratches inside. Very legible marks with assay scratch on the outside border. Very nice piece.

Catalogue Note

The rounded sides of this cup, above all making it satisfying to hold while drinking, allows it fit close to the body for hunting.
Tobias Baur was born in Augsburg in 1660 as the son of a family of goldsmiths.  He became Meistergerechtigkeit (Assay Master) in 1685.  He married four times and died in 1735.
