Catalogue Note
Gottfried Bartermann of Augsburg was born in 1705. He became a master goldsmith in 1733. His first wife, Maria Regina, whom he married in 1733, was a daughter of the goldsmith Elias Adam; his second wife, whom he married in 1750, was Regina Jakobina Ernst. He died in 1769.
