Condition

In overall good condition. Very legible marks under the base and inside the snuffers. Both snuffers and base are engraved ELD Warmer 25 sep 1830. Good weight.

Catalogue Note

Jacob van den Bergh II, son of Jacob (Michiel) I and Sara (née Jans), was born in Amsterdam in 1653.  He became a master goldsmith in 1688, married Hanna Catrina Meurant in 1686, and married a second time in 1705. He died in 1726.
