Condition

In overall good condition. Minor usual dents and scratches, especially on stems. Very legible marks on footrims. Traces of gilding. Good weight.

Matthias (Anton) Bernhaupt (Pernhaupt) was born the son of a master mason at Waering in Vienna. He became a master goldsmith in 1728, was head of the Grazer guild of goldsmiths from 1742 to 1755, and died on 14 May 1755.
