In overall good condition. Gilding possibly later. Clear marks under the base. Later Austrian control mark on body.

Catalogue Note

Joachim Sigismund Wiedemann, born in Berlin, the son of court goldsmith Bernhard Wiedemann, was baptised on 14 December 1654.  Joachim trained as a goldsmith in Hamburg, where he worked for Johann Sülzen from 1669 to 1674.  He became a master and citizen of Berlin on 28 April 1681 and married twice. The last reference to him is on 21 April 1711.
