Condition

This painting is in excellent condition. There are no apparent restorations under ultraviolet light. It is lightly soiled overall from airborne dirt and dust. As is typical of this artist's thick paint surfaces, there is some hairline linear surface cracking that appears stable and is unobtrusive in the brushstroke patterns. --intermittent linear cracks along all edges 1/4 inch in from edge --lower left: curved crack 2 1/2 - 3 3/4 in. from left edge and 2 in. up from bottom --upper left: circular cracking toward the tip of the top slice; linear cracks 5 - 6 1/2 in. from top and 4 in. from left edge; and 6 1/8 in. from top and 5 1/2 - 6 1/4 in. from left edge --upper right: diagonal cracks in the tip of the upper right corner and a vertical crack 3 1/4 from the right and 7 to 8 1/4 in. from the right edge --lower right: approx. 4 scattered small cracks ranging from 1 to 2 inches The canvas is framed in a wood strip with silver facing.
