Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The edges are regularly hand cut. There are areas of ghosting throughout along the oil paint where the paper has slightly yellowed as visible in the catalogue illustration and inherent to the artist's choice of media. There is a small area of pin-sized spots of foxing towards the centre of the top right quadrant, and a few artist's smudges along the top of the left edge. Close inspection reveals a short line of paint loss to the overturn right edge towards the top right corner. (No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.)
