This work is in good and sound condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling, resulting in spots of paint loss along some of the edges and corners. Along the bottom back edge of the sculpture, there is a water mark. The irregularities in the paint and the worn nature of the found books are presumably inherent to the artist's working method.
