Catalogue Note
This work is comprised of 28 drawings and a book cover and represents an exceptionally comprehensive record of the famous Shop, run by Tracey Emin and Sarah Lucas for just six months in 1993 in which they sold their own artwork. The drawings include self-portraits of the artists as well as a portrait of Damien Hirst. There are also sketches for many of the best known works of Emin and Lucas, including their famous Damien Hirst ashtrays, teeshirts, badges, slogans, phallus sculptures and a Sarah Lucas mobile.
