Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the original has a deeper, richer tone, particularly in the blues and reds.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There is a small paint loss which measures approximately 0.5 cm in diameter in the dark pigment in the lower left of the composition. This is approximately 5 cm above the lower horizontal framing edge and 2 cm in from the left vertical framing edge.
The paint surface has what would appear to be the artist's original slightly uneven varnish layer and no retouchings are visible under ultra-violet light.
