Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in good condition. The canvas is slightly split on the lower left vertical turnover edge where the framing sight edge has become dislodged. There is also a smaller split in the upper right corner where the canvas goes over the upper horizontal turnover edge. There is a patch on the reverse of the canvas which measures approximately 15 x 16 cm and is in the lower right quadrant as viewed from the reverse. The paint surface has a film of surface dirt. There is an extremely faint craquelure pattern caused by the natural drying processes of the artist's materials. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
