Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. The colour of the the cloth tends more towards a pale green and the background is a light lilac in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Visible only upon close inspection, there are two fine horizontal stretcher marks in the centre of the composition. There is a minute speck of media accretion on the left extreme edge towards the top right corner, and another few specks in the left half of the composition to the centre of the lower edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
