Catalogue Note
This work is a collaboration between Damien Hirst and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' bass guitarist, Flea. The Spin Guitar is accompanied by a designed guitar case, a unique Damien Hirst butterfly painting, a signed photograph of Flea and Damien holding the guitar, 20 bespoke plectrums, and a signed drawing entitled 'Exquisite Corpse' by Damien and Flea.
Proceeds from the sale of this work will be donated to The Silverlake Conservatory for Music. This non-profit organisation facilitates music education for youth in the community of Los Angeles, and The Conservatory grants scholarships to children in need by providing free lessons and instruments.
