Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although there is more oxidisation apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Some oxidation has occurred over time in a few places scattered thought, predominantly visible to the top of the head, the inner thighs and the feet. Surface dirt has accumulated in the recesses throughout, and there is scattered tarnishing and light wear to the outside faces of the mild steel blocks. There are a few further surface imperfections from the fabrication process. There is a small nick to the edge of a single mild steel block to the figures right shoulder blade.

Catalogue Note

"I am interested in the body because it is the place where emotions are most directly registered. When you feel frightened, when you feel excited, happy, depressed, somehow the body registers it."
