Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the watercolour tending more towards wine red, and the paper tone tending more towards a light tan in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is attached to the backing board at intervals on the reverse. Upon close inspection there are two very short, fine and flush tears to the sheet; one to the centre of the right extreme edge, and another to the centre of the left extreme edge. There is a fine diagonal crease in the top left corner and a further tiny handling crease towards the lower left corner. The lower right corner tip is slightly raised.
