Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the painterly surface apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is very minor wear in all four corners. In certain light, there are faint stretcher marks visible along the top and upper right edges. There is a shallow crease to the canvas running diagonally across the top left hand quadrant. There are two very small spots of slightly darker orange pigment to the centre-left of the figure's face, visible in the catalogue illustration, that fluoresce when examined under ultra-violet light.
