Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are two small spots of loss to the red pigment in the lower right quadrant of the composition, visible in the catalogue illustration. Upon extremely close inspection there are a small number of very short drying cracks to the thicker areas of black pigment towards the centre of the top edge, and in the centre of the top left quadrant. There is very light surface dirt to the white pigment throughout. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
