Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The sheet is attached to a backing board at intervals on the reverse and there are artist's pin holes in all four corners. Upon close inspection there is light rubbing and a few spots of skinning to the two column elements, in addition to some specks of media accretion that appear to be a residue from materials used in the artist's working process. There is a further small spot of skinning centre-left in the lower left quadrant of the composition, and a minor media accretion below this.
